Till Kirsten, principal investigator of the European solar neutrino experiment known as GALLEX. With Clayton in Clayton's gardens in September 1994, on the occasion of the Godfrey Distinguished Lecture by Kirsten. Kirsten shared his Heidelberg office with Clayton during the years 1977-84, when Clayton lived about 1/3 time in Heidelberg. Kirsten began GALLEX (see 1977 and 1979 Kirsten GALLEX photos) during that period, and Clayton attended its early meetings while also developing the cosmic chemical memory interpretation of isotopic anomalies in meteorites, which were treated as small chemical residuals of much larger isotopic anomalies within presolar dust.
