Clayton's discovery of the solution for the cosmoradiogenic chronologies of nucleosynthesis based on his s process decompositions had been submitted to ApJ just four weeks earlier. Clayton was departing for a faculty position at Rice University. Parker's paper (with Bahcall and Fowler) on the termination of the pp chains based on his measurements of the 3He + 4He reaction would be submitted to ApJ two weeks later. Parker was departing for Brookhaven.
