2011 Kurt Liffman with Donald Clayton in Melbourne (AU) for the 7th Workshop on Astronomy with Radioactivity in March 2011. See the 1991 photo of Liffman and Leising at dinner with Clayton on this Photo Archive. Liffman's PhD thesis had been at Rice University concerning galactic evolution of Stardust as part of cosmic chemical memory. (Proc. Lunar Planet. Sci. Conf. 18, 637 (1988)) March 2011 was coincidentally the 50th anniversary of Clayton's first published research paper (Ann. Phys. 12, 331 (1961)) and of Clayton's 76th birthday.
