There is an IT Request Kiosk in the student area on the Campbell Center's 3rd floor. The preferred method is to submit your tickets from this kiosk, as your request will be immediately routed to our queue. We will then contact you with the requested information and/or schedule a time to meet with you. IT Help tickets are handled in the order in which they are received.
If you are not on-site, you can submit an IT request from your computer using the protocol outlined in this PDF.
There is a Kiosk on CGEC Level 3 in the grad lab. If your computer is down or without Internet, you can also submit an IT request here. Here, you will find IT information streaming to help your transition to CUICAR. Please note that we will process all requests in the order that they were received.
Clemson University, as well as the College of Engineering and Science, provides licensure for certain pieces of software that are heavily used in your courses. These software applications are largely installed by the CUICAR Support Staff. At the beginning of each semester, we receive a high volume of requests. As we work towards providing the quickest possible service, we want to ask for your patience and understanding.
You can access and download some software applications without our help. Installing and running the CCIT Software Center Student Install will help you install Microsoft Office, Trend Micro OfficeScan, on-campus printers and plotters, and Eduroam wireless: How to Install CCIT Software Center - see section CCIT Student Resources for more.
Please consider the following hardware recommendations when purchasing a laptop or computer system.
There is a printer available to CUICAR students in the common area (located by the lab machines). This printer now uses the PawPrints system for accounting purposes. The allotment for each graduate student per semester is 660 pages. For more information on PawPrints use, print quotas, and rates, please visit CCIT PawPrints Basics. All students have access to the scanner in 319A; however, you are not allowed to print and copy here. If you need assistance coding your name in for email scanning, we are happy to help. If you have any issues with these installations/configurations, please feel free to submit an IT ticket.
There is also access to a Plotter in the ICAR media center: Room 413. Use of the plotter is restricted to computer labs and the computer lab machines that are set up in the media center. Requests for plotting assistance should follow the same procedure as all IT requests.
