High Speed Magnetic Bearing Turbine

  • Control of 6 DOF Magnetic Bearing :
    • High speed magnetic bearing capable of reaching speeds of up to 10,000 rpm driven by 4 Techron Linear amplifiers.
    • Control strategies are implemented on the Pentium Pro 333 MHz computer also shown in the picture which is running QNX, a real time operating system.
    • A special high speed D/A board allows us to sample data at up to 20,000 Hz
