Mission

The C. William Hall Biomaterials Documentation Center serves the national and international scientific community through the collection, classification, and dissemination of the literature of biomaterials science and engineering.

The Center archives historically important documents such as books, manuscripts, patent information, videotapes, 35 mm slides, and lecture notes, and preserves significant objects including artifacts, artwork, and memorabilia.

The Center emphasizes rapid conversion and dissemination of information in electronic form using the technologies of the Internet and the World Wide Web.
