Bioengineering
B.S. - Application Process
Undergraduate Admission
How To Apply
Electronic applications are strongly encouraged. Instructions and forms are available online:
Paper application forms can also be downloaded.
All new engineering undergraduate students, including transfer
students, are admitted into Clemson’s general engineering program in
the College of Engineering and Science. Admission is highly
competitive. Students generally have taken a rigorous college
preparatory curriculum with an emphasis on math and science courses.
For freshman applicants, the following factors are considered: class
standing, standardized SAT or ACT test scores, high school curriculum,
grades and choice of major. To transfer directly into Bioengineering
all transfer applicants should have completed a year of college study,
earned a cumulative GPA of 3.3/4.0 on all transfer courses applicable
to the bioengineering curriculum, and completed all freshman-level
courses in English, science and mathematics. All other transfer
applicants need to transfer to general engineering.
Applicants who submit
and complete their application for admission by
December 31 will receive priority consideration
for academic recruiting scholarships.
