International Summer Bioengineering Research Experience for Undergraduates

The Department of Bioengineering offers a unique study and internship program for undergraduates over the summer in Belgium, giving students the opportunity to practice research in an international academic environment.

Brussels: A six-credit program at the Thomas Green Clemson University Brussels Center in Belgium (CUBC) is tailored specifically to bioengineers. Students will receive:

  • three credits of International Studies (IS210)
  • three credits for International Study in Bioengineering (BioE461)
These fulfill both a bioengineering technical elective and a humanities and social science requirement. Cultural excursions and historic trips augment the program, which began with a pilot program in 2008. For more information, please contact Dr. DesJardins.
