New Faculty Joins the ECE Department

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is pleased to announce a new addition to our faculty, Dr. Joachim Taiber. 

Dr. Taiber is a research professor, hired with a joint appointment in the School of Computing.  Dr. Taiber came to Clemson from the BMW Group in Greer, SC, where he was General Manager of the Information Technology Research Center.  He received his Ph.D. degree (1996) in technical sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. Joachim Taiber's current research interests are centered around clean transportation and advanced vehicle communication. Dr. Taiber is responsible for a new infrastructure initiative between Clemson University and the South Carolina Technology Aviation Center (SC-TAC) to support interdisciplinary research on Clean Transportation and the Connected Vehicle in cooperation with leading industry partners.
