The Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has over 50 faculty members who teach and perform research in a broad range of topics. Many members of our faculty are known nationally and internationally, and among our ranks are several IEEE Fellows, four endowed chairs, and eight named professorships. There are also several adjunct faculty members who are involved in cooperative activities with our department.

In addition, the External Board of Advocates counsels the department regarding the priorities of industry and the engineering profession, and suggests courses of action to address concerns in the context of the department’s mission. The department also has 12 administrative and technical staff members. Our staff are instrumental in the department's operations and in the support of faculty and students. Our student body ranks among the most intelligent students at Clemson. As a testament to this fact, many ECE students have won national awards for academic achievement and research accomplishments.
