Faculty Overview
Dr. Dean teaches a variety of introductory geology courses, including Current Topics in Geology (Geol 100), Physical Geology (Geol 101), Historical Geology (Geol 102) and Earth Resources (Geol 112). He also teaches a senior-level course in Invertebrate Paleontology (Geolo 403). In addition to teaching lecture sections, Dr. Dean also coordinates the introductory geology labs (Geol 103 & 114) and supervises the geology Teaching Assistants. He is also involved in the Creative Inquiry research group that is conducting research and mapping the Clemson Experimental Forest. Other activities include teaching summer courses designed for science teachers through the Biological Sciences department.
