Faculty Overview
Dr. Wagner’s main teaching and research interests include earth history, geomorphology, and geoscience education. He teaches courses in earth history, surficial geology, and the natural history of South Carolina. He also teaches a variety of on-site and distance-learning courses for preservice and inservice K-12 teachers throughout South Carolina. His current research efforts include the development of inquiry-based curriculum materials for middle school earth science classrooms as well as the implemention of research-based strategies to improve geoscience teaching and learning at the undergraduate level.
