Clemson Student Named Putnam Scholar by IIE

Christine Lamine, IE junior, has been recognized by the Institute of Industrial Engineers as an A. O. Putnam Scholar for 2002-2003. This is one of a number of scholarship type awards given by IIE. Other A. O. Putnam Scholars were selected from West Virginia University and Kansas State University, from a national competition of undergraduate IE students. Other awards given to undergraduates are the Dwight D. Gardner Scholarship, the UPS Scholarship, the C. B. Gambrell Scholarship, the IIE Council of Fellows Scholarship, and the Marvin Mundel Scholarship. In addition to being honored by this award, Christine brings recognition to this department as the first Clemson IE student so honored in this national IIE competition.
