Dr. Anand K. Gramopadhye & Dr. Brian J. Melloy receive awards

Dr. Anand K. Gramopadhye, professor of industrial engineering, and Dr. Brian J. Melloy, associate professor of industrial engineering, were honored by awards in meetings of the faculty recently.

Dr. Gramopadhye received the McQueen Quattlebaum Award at the College of Engineering and Science faculty meeting. The college presents this award annually to the faculty member judged most outstanding in research, based on accomplishments in the previous year.

Dr. Melloy's award, the D. W. Bradbury Award, was announced at the spring meeting of the faculty of Clemson University. The Bradbury Award, established by a gift from the Class of 1940, is presented annually to a faculty member for excellence in service to Calhoun Honors College. Dr. Melloy is the department's Honors Coordinator.

Both have been honored for their work in the past. Last year Gramopadhye was named one of the top 50 young engineers in the country by the National Academy of Engineers, and Melloy is a past recipient of the college's Byars Prize for excellence in engineering science education.
