Bill Ferrell, Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Associate Dean of  Graduate School was the 2009 recipient of the College’s Highest Award for Leadership and Service. Bill was recognized for hisdemonstrated leadership and service at the  department, college , university and national levels. He is also the past recipient of IIE’s Medallion Award, IIE’s highest service recognition.

Excellence Award from IIE as the outstanding advisor for the Mid-Atlantic Region

Kevin Taaffe, Assistant Professor in IE, was the recipient of this year’s Outstanding  IIE Advisor Award. The Clemson IIE student chapter successfully hosted this year’s IIE regional conference. This was a major undertaking for the students as well as Dr. Taaffe, and he provided continued support to the student officers throughout the planning and execution of all of the events. This was attended by over 150 students and faculty representatives from the schools within the region.
