Professor works to link academia to supply chain industry

South Carolina's business and political leaders gathered on March 13, 2012 to discuss the state's transportation, distribution, and logistics (TDL) infrastructure, which virtually every one of the state's industries relies on directly or indirectly. New Carolina’s TDL Council hosted Dr. Scott J. Mason as one of their keynote speakers.  Dr. Mason’s presentation, entitled “Efficiently Utilizing South Carolina’s TDL Infrastructure,” discussed how focused investment in TDL infrastructure typically is done by states that seem to do well economically.  Dr. Mason suggested that fully integrating universities in the TDL planning process can be a key to South Carolina’s success.  Read the full article here
