Tim Olsen

Tim Olsen

Tim is a third year Ph.D. student who received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering from The College of New Jersey. He is focused on understanding the fusion and maturation of tissue engineered blood vessels mediated by magnetic forces.

Tim Olsen

Megan Casco

Megan is a first year Ph.D. student who received her B.S. in Bioengineering with a concentration in Biomaterials from Clemson University. She is a Call Me Doctor Fellow and her research is focused on understanding the stimulation of ECM production mediated by nanomaterials.

Tim Olsen

Colby Williams

Colby is a first year M.S. student who received her B.S. in Bioengineering with a concentration in Biomaterials from Clemson University. She is working on developing a chemotherapeutic strategy to treat pediatric brain cancer using nontoxic drug-loaded polymeric nanoparticles in combination with a toxic drug.

Ian Hale

Ian is a first year Ph.D. student who received his B.S. in Bioengineering with a concentration in Biomaterials from Clemson University. He is working on synthesizing polymeric implant materials incorporated with contrasts agents for noninvasive diagnostic imaging.

Fernanda Guerra

Fernanda is a first year Ph.D. student who received her Bachelor of Chemistry from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). She is a Science Without Borders Scholar and is working on degrading pollutants using environmentally benign biodegradable nanoparticles.

  Graduate Alumni

Erika Jelen

Erika Jelen

Erika graduated with her B.S. in Bioengineering from Clemson University in 2011. She joined the Nanomedicine lab and worked on projects to develop nanoparticle systems to treat brain cancer, and helped develop a small biomolecule for targeting bone. She graduated with her M.S. in 2012 and is currently working at Northrop Grumman in the electronic systems sector.

TJ Willi

TJ Willi

TJ graduated with his B.S. in Polymer Fiber Chemistry from Clemson University in 2010. He joined the Nanomedicine lab over the summer of 2010. His research focused on side-chain modified polymers for controlled drug delivery and understanding the interaction between nanoparticles and the extracellular matrix. He graduated with an M.S. in December of 2012.
