Major Equipment in Prof. Mefford's Laborotories
- Malvern Zetasizer ZS Dynamic Light Scattering and Zeta Potential (DLS-Zeta) instrument. The DLS-Zeta instrument is a high throughput dynamic light scattering system with measurement range from 0.3nm to 3µm.
- IMEGO AC susceptometer. This instrument is used to measure the frequency response of magnetic nanoparticles in colloidal suspension.
- AC Calorimeter. This instrument was built by the Mefford laboratory to examine the heating rate of magnetic nanoparticles when exposed to alternating magnetic fields.
