Sponsored Programs Accounting/Administration (Post-Award)
Clemson University Link to Employee Activity Reports

From the White House's Office of Management and Budget, are published regulations such as circulars A-21 and A-110, which require that all universities account for the total compensated effort of employees who are paid wholly or partially from sponsored projects.  Clemson University uses its electronic, web-based Clemson Link to Employee Activity Reports (CLEAR) to document and certify compensated research effort for sponsored projects at Clemson University.  Effort certification by principal investigators and their graduate researchers occurs three times a year:  in February for the prior Fall semester; in June, for the prior Spring semester; and in September for the prior Summer sessions.
