Let's make sure you know what Rush REALLY is. Rush is THE BEST WAY to become acquainted with the Fraternity Community
here at Clemson University. Also, the Tiger ranks Rush THE BEST WAY to meet new people each semester. Your decision to
rush in no way binds you to pledge a Fraternity - every ruh event is voluntary. At Chi Psi, we strongly encourage all men at
Clemson to attend Rush. You might join a Fraternity, and you might not. At a minimum, you will definitely have a great time.
Why should you Rush Chi Psi?
We believe that the foundation of a strong Brotherhood is the quality of undergraduate students that we recruit. Our brothers
share an active social life, but we also share a part of ourselves with each other, school, and the community. Although we enjoy
being a smaller Fraternity, we don't particularly want to be small. It's our intent to have a 68 man chapter and we plan on
initiating 17 men each year. For the first year or two we will of course be smaller, but you'll be part of the building of a
tradition. In 4 years, when we're considered the best Fraternity on campus, you can say that you were one of the leaders who
helped make it all happen.
Chi Psi has just 30 chapters across the USA - we restrict the number of chapters so that each chapter actually means something to every other chapter. A lot of people ask us if they have to make it to Rush every day. Obviously, the more days you attend, the better opportunity you'll have to meet with the brothers. But at Chi Psi we understand that people have demanding schedules and can't make it to everything. Also, our Rush process is not a matter of having to put your best face forward so that we'll like you and ask you to join; we want to get to know the REAL you. We structure our Rush so that it is informal and low-pressure - you simply get to spend time with the Brothers and decide whether Chi Psi is the Fraternity for you. We also get asked if we haze. We absolutely do not. A lot of people say "sure, that's what they all say. Do you really?" Yes, they all say that. We know that. But we really mean it when we say it. We are gentlemen and we do not haze. We are also very serious about our commitment to our stric no-hazing policy. If you want a broad college experience, a fulfilling social and philanthropic life, and the knowledge that you actually matter to your Fraternity, you owe it to yourself to Rush Chi Psi.
