The Clemson Conservation Center is an exceptional laboratory that specializes in the conservation of archeological finds, determinations of materials, and other fundamental and advanced conservation techniques.
Located in the beautiful Lowcountry of South Carolina, the area has much to offer in projects and capabilities. The original facility was created for the extrication and conservation of the H.L. Hunley confederate submarine.
The lab, tank room and building have advanced to become a recognized first-class facility.
