Agriculture and science graduate Harry Frampton is the new chairman
of the Urban Land Institute, a nonprofit education and research institute
dedicated to providing responsible leadership in the use of land to
enhance the total environment.
The Urban Land Institute is a community of practice for those engaged
in the entrepreneurial and collaborative process of real estate development
and land use policy-making. Founded in 1936, it now has 18,000 members
working in the public and private sectors, a staff of 100 in Washington,
D.C., and a $27 million operating budget.
Frampton, originally from Hartsville, is managing partner of East West
Partners, a real estate development company based in Beaver Creek,
Colo.
