Administrative management graduate Gregg Morton of
Alexandria, Va., has long been a leader in BellSouth. His most recent
role is vice president of legislation and chief of staff of the BellSouth
Governmental Affairs Office in Washington, D.C.
He’s responsible for strategic coordination and support of state
and federal legislation and for external affairs activities, including
the BellSouth Foundation and other outreach initiatives.
Morton began his career with BellSouth in South Carolina as a manager
in Charleston. He held assignments with increasing responsibility throughout
the 1980s taking him to Washington, D.C., as director of legislative
affairs. He returned to Columbia in the 1990s and advanced to BellSouth
liaison to the U.S. Telecom Association for federal legislative matters.
Throughout his career, he’s remained active for Clemson. He’s
a past president of the Board of Visitors, a member of the Advisory
Council for the College of Business and Behavioral Science and a member
of the Parents’ Council Development Board.
