Three-time Clemson graduate and longtime Clemson residential life staff member Leon McClinton is taking his expertise to Blacksburg, Va.
In his new position as Virginia Tech’s director of residence life, McClinton will provide leadership for one of the largest housing programs in the nation, including 47 residence halls.
At Clemson, McClinton received a Ph.D. in educational leadership, a master’s degree in human resource development and a bachelor’s degree in textile management. He worked in residential life for 13 years.
He’s also president of the Southeastern Association of Housing Officers, which serves college and university housing officers in 10 states.
