Administrative management graduate Thomas Wood, president
and chief executive officer of Thomas D. Wood and Co. of Miami, Fla., is
the new president and chairman of the Orange Bowl Committee (OBC).
He’ll preside over the OBC for the 2007-08 Festival, which includes the Annual
FedEx Orange Bowl, the Annual MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic and
the Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance.
In addition to his leadership at Thomas D. Wood and Co., Wood is chief operating
officer of Colliers Abood Wood-Fay Real Estate Group and president of the
Strategic Alliance Mortgage Group.
Wood still finds time to serve in community and civic organizations including
Alonzo Mourning Charities, UM Sylvester Cancer Research Center, Project Newborn
— Infants in Need and American Cancer Society.
