Synergistic activities:
Director, Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) in Wireless Communications: Communications Systems, Wireless Networks, Antennas and Propagation, and Radio-Frequency and Millimeter-Wave Circuits, an NSF-supported Research Experience for Undergraduates program, ongoing.

Developed and currently leading REU program focused on introducing undergraduates to research in topics addressing critical issues in the design of future mobile, multi-hop, multi-media radio networks.

Coordinator, SURE Program Research Experience for Teachers component, ongoing.

Currently collaborating with other Clemson Faculty and a participating high-school science teacher in the development of high school laboratory experiments and middle school demonstrations for use in addressing key fundamental concepts in electromagnetics physics, computer science and engineering (including networking), and probability and statistics.

Developer, new graduate-level course at Clemson University , ECE 860, Advanced Coding Theory, 2000. Course covers theory and application of convolutional, trellis, and turbo coding. These topics are usually not covered in depth, if at all, in "standard" graduate-level coding courses, but they are of great current interest as research topics and in the design of wireless communication systems.
