“Being assaulted can have an impact on your academic performance, psychological well-being, and physical safety. Please utilize available resources to assist you during this difficult time.”
CU CARES is an intervention and prevention program for students affected by relationship and/or sexual violence. The program is provided through Counseling and Psychological Services at Redfern Health Center. CARES is an acronym for the services students will receive. These services include counseling, advocacy, referrals, education, and support. Intervention services such as counseling and crisis intervention are provided for students who are affected by interpersonal violence such as rape, sexual harassment, stalking, verbal and/or physical abuse by a partner. CU CARES seeks to educate students on prevention and safety techniques related to interpersonal violence through educational outreach programs and campus-wide awareness campaigns.
