Name: Courtney Conger

Major: Nursing
Class: 2018

Campus Involvement: Resident Assistant, Vice President of Events for Mentoring Program, Tiger Paw Productions, Global Health Certificate Program, Clemson Global Symposium, Mountain Lakes Church, Research on Iron-Deficiency Anemia, Clemson University Singers (3 semesters)

Bio: "Hey everyone!! My name is Courtney Conger and I am an upcoming junior at Clemson. I guess I’ll tell y’all a little bit about where I come from! My hometown is Clover, SC and I grew up on a farm with animals ranging from dogs, to rabbits, to peacocks, to llamas. I am the middle child of five children, and my family is the most important part of me. I am extremely passionate about singing and music in general and I hope to start a smaller a’capella group next fall, which I’m very excited about! I love gardening, hiking, kayaking, and pretty much anything outside. I am also currently a member of Tiger Paw Productions (TPP), which recruits bands and music artists to come play at Clemson, markets the show, organizes all the behind the scenes stuff, and works the shows to make sure all is running smoothly. Since I’ve been at Clemson, I’ve helped put on shows including: NeedtoBreathe, Sister Hazel, Kevin Hart, Lee Brice, and Kesha. I am currently an RA in Calhoun Courts Apartments with the LEAF living learning community, but next year I will be an RA in the residential hall Mauldin! This summer I will be a participant in the Global Health Certificate Program through Clemson Nursing, which involves taking 3-4 courses and volunteering abroad in Peru with a research component. This will be my first time abroad and I am incredibly grateful and super pumped. By being involved at Clemson, I have discovered lots of useful resources that I would love to share with y’all if you ever need help with anything. I hope to take my mentees out for anything y’all would want to do! I’m game for movie nights, hiking around the area, going out for ice cream, or going to the beach when the weather is nice! Over the last 2 years, I have fallen more and more in love with Clemson and I really hope that as a mentor I can help y’all feel the same way by the end of your freshman year!"
