Maymester Study Travel
Students chosen to be Dixon Global Policy Scholars will have the opportunity to participate in an intensive Maymester experience based in Brussels, Belgium and Strasbourg, France, where they will learn about the European Union. This trip will be planned in coordination with CEPA-Europe, a leader in providing meaningful study-abroad experiences for American and international students.
Depart Saturday, May 17, and return Wednesday, May 28;
Accommodations at Hotel Villa Royale in Brussels and at CEPA study center “Château de Pourtalès” in Strasbourg, France;
Visits to key European Union institutions, including the European Parliament and the Assembly of European Regions;
Meetings with key policy-makers, diplomats, academics, and journalists;
Opportunities to interact with French and Belgian students;
Tours of museums and historic sites.
The Dixon Global Policy Scholars Program will pay for students' airfare, accommodations, some meals, and all tours. Students are responsible for paying for 1 credit hour of Clemson summer school; some meals; and incidental expenses. All students must have a valid passport and (if necessary) other documentation for travel to Europe.
