Maymester Study Travel
Students chosen to be Dixon Global Policy Scholars will have the opportunity to participate in an intensive Maymester experience based in Strasbourg, France and Berlin, Germany where they will learn about the European Union. This trip will be planned in coordination with CEPA-Europe, a leader in providing meaningful study-abroad experiences for American and international students.
Depart Sunday, May 10, and return Thursday, May 21
Accommodations at the CEPA study center “Château de Pourtalès” in Strasbourg and the Hotel ADina in Berlin
Visits to key European institutions, including the German Parliament and important historic sites and museums
Meetings with key policy-makers, diplomats, academics, and journalists
Tours of museums and historic sites including the WWI battlefield at Verdun
The Dixon Global Policy Scholars Program will pay for students' airfare, accommodations, some meals, and all tours. Students are responsible for paying for 1 credit hour of Clemson summer school; some meals; and incidental expenses. All students must have a valid passport and (if necessary) other documentation for travel to Europe.
