General Honors Program
To be awarded the Certificate of Achievement in General Honors (effective for students accepted for Fall 2007 and thereafter), the following requirements must be satisfied:
- Completion of a minimum of six honors courses of no less than three
credits each, distributed as follows:
- At least one course from three or more groups (see below); and
- At least one course in three or more subjects (e.g., ENGL, MTHSC)
- A cumulative grade point average of 3.40 or higher on all coursework taken at Clemson (non-honors as well as honors courses).
- A grade of A or B in all courses taken to fulfill the requirements of General Honors.
- Completion of all University requirements for graduation.
The honors courses listed below are described in greater detail in Undergraduate Announcements, Clemson University's official catalog. Prerequisites or enrollment restrictions may apply. The hard-copy schedule booklet contains a separate listing of honors courses that will be taught in forthcoming semesters.
