CURF Home>>Incubation at Clemson

For over ten years, CURF has supported business incubation at Clemson University through its Center for Applied Technology (CAT). The first incubator in South Carolina to offer wet-lab space, CAT has graduated ten high-tech companies, several of whom have located in the Upstate.

The following Clemson University resources are available to support incubation:

Center for Applied Technology (CAT) - Located near Clemson University, CAT provides a unique collaborative environment to move ideas out of laboratories and into the marketplace.

SPIRO Center - The mission of the Arthur M. Spiro Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership is to support educational, research, and outreach programs that promote entrepreneurial activity and economic development of the region, state, and nation.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - The Frank L. Roddey Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of South Carolina is a consortium of 4 universities which operate a state office and 15 regional/area centers located throughout the state. These centers offer a variety of services and management training courses tailored to meet the needs of small & medium-sized businesses. SBDC consultants at each site provide managerial and technical assistance to those wishing to start or expand an enterprise.
