The Emeritus Award for Community Service
This award was established by the Emeritus College Advisory Board to recognize emeritus faculty members who provide extraordinary service to the community or their professions outside the university and Emeritus College. The award will be presented in odd-numbered years.
Eligibility: Any Clemson University emeritus faculty member with at least three years emeritus standing may be nominated for either award. Individuals may not self-nominate.
Nomination Process: Members of the Emeritus College, as well as active Clemson faculty and/or staff members, may make nominations. Please submit the requested information electronically using the form below. Also, send a separate statement of no more than 500 words describing the nominee’s contributions. The statement may be submitted by email, by regular mail, or hand-delivered to Nicci Hanewald in the Emeritus College. Nominations for the 2019 award will be solicited by the Emeritus College during the summer of 2019.
Selection Process: The Emeritus College Awards Committee will administer the process for reviewing the nominations and making the selection. Under extraordinary circumstances, the award may not be given.
