This award was established by the late John Kenelly to recognize emeritus faculty members who have made outstanding contributions to the Emeritus College, Clemson University, the greater Clemson community, and to society. The name of the award also pays tribute to John’s late wife, Charmaine Voss. In addition to recognition by the Emeritus College, the award provides $500 toward the purchase of library materials for donation to Clemson Libraries in the award recipient’s name.
Eligibility: Any Clemson University emeritus faculty member with at least five years emeritus standing may be nominated for the award. Individuals may not self-nominate.
Nomination Process: Members of the Emeritus College, as well as active Clemson faculty and/or staff members, may make nominations. Please submit the requested information electronically using the form below. Also, send a separate statement of no more than 500 words describing the nominee’s contributions. The statement may be submitted by email, by regular mail, or hand-delivered to Nicci Hanewald in the Emeritus College. Selection Process: A committee appointed by the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs will review the nominations and make the selection. Under extraordinary circumstance, the committee may choose not to name a recipient.
