Q:

What if my schedule requires that I work on a holiday? 



A:

An FTE or Time Limited employee of Clemson University who is required to work on a University holiday shall be given holiday compensatory time to be used at the convenience of the department. This time off should be taken within one (l) year from the date of the holiday. 

All non-exempt employees who do not use holiday compensatory leave credits within one (1) year may be compensated for the holiday at the employee's straight hourly pay rate or this time may be carried forward. Exempt employees are allowed to use holiday compensatory leave credits within one (1) year but shall not be paid for unused holiday leave credits.
