401k Roth and 401k loan repayment options
Clemson University is exploring options to offer a Roth 401k plan and 401k loan repayment through South Carolina Deferred Compensation Program. An implementation date has not been determined due to a system upgrade.

Current participants that have a pin number to access their South Carolina Deferred Compensation account may view the Roth 401k option on line, but the plan is not currently available at Clemson University. Changes made on line for the Roth 401k plan will not be processed until the option is implemented. More information will be provided when the options are made available. Employees may wish to talk with a tax consultant and contact South Carolina Deferred Compensation at 1-866-826-7283 for more information about advantages of using a Roth plan. When offered, the 401k Roth plan contributions will be coordinated with the regular and over age 50 catch-up tax deferred 401k and 403b plan contributions.
