Large
animal emergency rescue is the response phase of a natural or manmade
disaster or accident where specialized training and equipment are required
to rescue a large animal such as a horse or cow. Some of the
organizations/agencies that have participated in this training include
emergency response departments in South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida
and California, the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, the Georgia
Department of Agriculture, the US Army (Ft. Myer, VA), the South Carolina
Army National Guard (McEntyre Air Base) the Boston Animal Rescue League,
the American Humane Association, and the Humane Society of the United
States |
