Large animal emergency rescue is the response phase of a natural or manmade disaster or accident where specialized training and equipment are required to rescue a large animal such as a horse or cow.

Photo of Horse RescueA very important aspect of our work for the past several years has been to provide training in large animal emergency rescue to emergency responders (Firefighters, EMS personnel, rescue squads,), public safety officers, veterinarians, animal control, and groups of horse owners involved in animal rescue.

Some of the organizations/agencies that have participated in this training include emergency response departments in South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida and California, the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, the Georgia Department of Agriculture, the US Army (Ft. Myer, VA), the South Carolina Army National Guard (McEntyre Air Base) the Boston Animal Rescue League, the American Humane Association, and the Humane Society of the United States
