Graduate student Charity Watson to work as a graduate research assistant on a Harvard University project

Charity Watson, a graduate student in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, will join the "Factors Influencing College Success in Mathematics (FICS-Math)" project at Harvard University as a graduate research assistant. FICS-Math is a 3 year study that will survey 12,000 students enrolled in college calculus courses around the nation to determine what background factors best prepare students for calculus in college. Watsonˇ¦s work will be supervised by Dr. Zahra Hazari, an assistant professor jointly appointed in the Department of Engineering & Science Education and the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
