Long Hall
Long
Hall houses the administrative staff for the Department chair of the
Entomology, Soils, & Plant Sciences Department. In addition, faculty
offices, space for graduate students, conference rooms, lecture rooms,
and teaching laboratories for two of the three programs which make up
the department are also housed in Long Hall. The faculty, administrative
staff and students in the Crop & Soil Environmental Science Program
are located in the Plant & Animal Sciences building. Laboratories
are equipped for research in molecular biology, systematics, pathology,
fire ant biology, and plant resistance. The Multi-User Analytical Lab
in Long Hall provides students, faculty and staff throughout Clemson
University and especially in the College of Agriculture, Forestry and
Life Sciences with access to equipment for chemical analysis, which may
only be needed periodically, and therefore is not practical for each
individual laboratory to obtain and maintain. Long Hall also houses the
Clemson University Arthropod Collection and Museum and a weather station.
