Clemson University, specifically the Rutland Institute for Ethics and the Department of Philosophy and Religion, hosted the Mid-Atlantic Regional ethics bowl competition on this Saturday, November 9th. Teams from 12 different schools in the region went head to head debating ethical issues on a wide variety of case studies for three slots in the national finals. The pool was very strong this year, but ultimately Duke University won in a tight contest with St. Mary’s College of Maryland. University of Maryland Baltimore County came in third and Georgetown University fourth. The National ethics bowl will be held February 27th in Jacksonville, FL. Clemson will also host the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Regional ethics bowl competition next fall.
