Building Infrastructure in South Carolina
The EXPORT Center has worked to establish institutional and community partnerships and linkages to ensure support, continuity, and growth of project activities. Intra-institutional, state-wide, and national partnerships constituted through this project have created a strong base for conducting research and training. By linking university units together, inter-disciplinary research and training have become feasible and created space for several collaborative projects on health disparities. National linkages have brought experts together to provide guidance and expertise to EXPORT personnel and activities. The Administrative Core has worked in collaboration with the Research, Training, and Outreach Cores to establish the Center for Research on Health Disparities (CRHD) at Clemson University. CRHD works to facilitate research to imrove the health of racial and ethnic minority populations in SC.
