Clemson Extension Agents work closely with state extension specialists and researchers located on campus and at the various research and education centers located across the state. Vernon Cheek, a Barnwell County farmer, had a bumper crop of peanuts this past year with yield of 6,805 pounds per acre. Mr. Cheek worked closely with County Agent Joe Varn to determine peanut maturity.
