4-H Day and Overnight Camping Programs

4-H Camp: Youth taking part in an Extension planned educational experience of group living in the outdoors. Overnight camping includes being away from home at least one night (resident, primitive, or travel camping) and is not restricted to members of organized 4-H clubs. Day camping consists of multiple-day programs, with youth returning home each evening.

Get Cooking with 4-H for Cloverbuds
June 7 from 10am-2pm
$10 for current 4-Hers, $20 for non-members
Ages 5-8
Topics include: kitchen safety, reading labels, measuring, cooking, and tasting.

SC 4-H Summer Camp at Camp Long in Aiken
June 10 at 3pm - June 14 at 1pm
$260 for current 4-Hers, $270 for non-members (military discount available)
Ages 7-14
Topics include: agriculture, natural resources, and horses in addition to swimming, canoeing, high adventure elements, nature hikes, team sports, shooting sports, games, skits,campfire, dance, and talent show.

Pinckney 4-H Leadership Conference for Middle Schoolers
June 24-29 at Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton or July 15-20 at Camp Long in Aiken
$100 each. 4-H membership not required.
Rising 7th and 8th graders. 50 spots available.
Activities include leadership workshops, team building activities and high ropes course, community engagement, traditional camp activities, and more.

Babysitting Workshop
June 14-15 from 9am-5pm
$15 for 4-Hers, $25 for non-members
Ages 10-12
Participants will earn a babysitting kit and a CPR certification.

Camp WILD at Chester State Park
June 26 at 10am - June 28 at 11am
$75 for current 4-Hers, $85 for non-members
Ages 8-14
Topics include: tent camping, wildlife and natural resources, survival skills, swimming, and more.

SC 4-H State Congress at Clemson University
July 11-14
$275 each. 4-H membership required.
Ages 14-18.
SC 4-H's premier event, this youth leadership conference offers participants the opportunity to learn skills that will make even the best youth better.

4-H2O at Dreher Island State Park: Exploring Lake Murray
July 17-19 from 9am-4pm
$65 for current 4-Hers, $75 for non-members
Ages 8-11
Topics include: water safety, conservation, natural resources, science, and more.

June 17-23 at Clemson University or July 22-28 at Clemson University
$100 each. 4-H membership not required.
Rising 10th and 11th graders. 36 spots available.
Activities include leadership workshops, team building activities, campus life experiences, community engagement, whitewater rafting, and more.

Ages 12-14
Topics include: water science, conservation, natural resources, wildlife, and more.
This camp sponsored in part by Harbison State Forest.

*MEMBER DISCOUNTS: Youth may join 4-H for an annual fee of $10 and receive the member rate/$10 discount for all camps. Once the $10 additional fee for any camp is paid, it satisfies this annual membership fee and does not need to be paid again.

*NEWBERRY COUNTY 4-H REFUND POLICY:  Membership dues are not prorated and are non-refundable. If you cancel a camp spot more than 2 weeks before the start date, a full refund may be given. If you cancel with less than 2 weeks and more than 1 week before the start date, you may receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given within 1 week from the start date.
