Through planning, design, and engineering, University Planning & Design facilitates the orderly development of the campus in a way that enriches the resource, meets the needs of the community, and enhances the image, experience, and culture of Clemson University.
Services We Provide
University Planning & Design is responsible for many functions on the campus as they relate to administration of the Comprehensive Master Plan and Design Guidelines. They include, but are not exclusive to:
- Administer the Comprehensive Master Plan and Design Guidelines and advise executive officers and user groups regarding proper planning
- Identify, prioritize, and recommend site development proposals and select construction sites
- Research enrollment, parking, and housing trends and survey user needs
- Supervise contracts related to the Master Plan
- Landscape Design
- Facility Planning
