Requests for Recycling Bins & Service in Residential Areas

Requests for recycling bins and service in residential areas should be routed through an RA to University Facilities Recycling Office. This office will field and fulfill RA requests based on feasibility of each request. The RA must demonstrate a commitment to a long-term and successful project and will be responsible for collecting and transporting recycled materials to a specified location one or more times per week. To initiate a request, contact Karen Butts, CU Facilities, at dillar2@clemson.edu or (864) 656-4604.

If you're encountering a problem with recycling waste being retreived in your area, please let us know by e-mailing Karen Butts at dillar2@clemson.edu.

Moving?

If you're moving onto campus or leaving for the semester and have questions about recycling, check out this printable moving guide to find the answers you need (Adobe Reader required). And if you can't find it in there, feel free to contact us via e-mail.

Off-Campus Residents

Did you know you can still recycle, even if you live off campus? Bring your paper, newspapers, magazines, cardboard, glass, plastics # 1 & #2, steel cans and more to the Kite Hill Recycling Center, located adjacent to the P-1 commuter parking lot, near the SC Botanical Gardens, the Fire Station and Highway 76. The center is staffed from 7 am to 3:30 pm weekdays.

Recycling is Hiring!

Recycling collections, as well as the recycling center itself, are staffed in part by Clemson students, just like you. If you are interested in a part-time job, e-mail us today!
