Bill Hughes, Director

Bill Hughes, Director of Maintenance ServicesBill Hughes is our Director of Maintenance and Minor Projects. The major areas and services within his managerial responsibilities include Campus Zone Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Facilities' various Craft Shops, Emergency Repairs, Cost Estimating, Regulatory / Safety, Minor Projects and Site Surveyance.

Dick Carson, Assistant Director

Dick Carson, Assistant DirectorDick brings 30 years of Maintenance and Power Plant management experience to the University. As Assistant Director of Maintenance and Minor Construction, he is currently directly responsible for oversight of the Zone Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance and Asbestos groups. In the absence of the Director, he's responsible for the activities of the Minor Construction group and Craft Shops.

Donna Newell, Administrative Assistant

Donna Newell, Administrative AssistantDonna started with Facilities in 1993. She provides administrative support in the Maintenance and Minor Project service area. Key roles include monitoring project files, processing building permit applications, and sending utility outage notifications to the campus.

Pam Winchester, Program Assistant

Pam Winchester, Program AssistantPam has been with Facilities for 27 years. She transferred from Tri-County Tech into the Capital and Minor Construction Department, and then moved to Accounts Payable for Support Services. In 1989, she accepted a new position in the Hazardous Abatement Department (Asbestos and Lead) as an Administrative Specialist. She now manages hazardous material abatement programs, helps develop and maintain Facilities' databases associated with hazardous material and preventive maintenance, and procures equipment and supplies for the entire organization.

Sherry Newton, AutoCad Specialist

Sherry Newton, AutoCad SpecialistSherry joined the Facilities group in August of 2005 as Graphics Manager. As our resident AutoCAD specialist with over 15 years of AutoCAD experience, she is responsible for maintaining the drawing vault which contains As-Built drawings, Building Specifications manuals, and Operations and Maintenance manuals. Sherry is currently in the process of scanning all of our drawings to a database that will be accessible by Facilities employees. Further, she's responsible for updating the Building Floor Plans (also referred to as Bible Plans) that are now accessible through On-Line Resources on the Facilities website.
