Support Services is composed of a variety of personnel that manage much of the administrative operations behind Facilities, while providing technical and logistical support for the various departments and shops within our organization.
Todd Barnette, Facilities Business Officer
Todd graduated from Clemson in 1986 and returned home to join University Facilities in 1998. He is responsible for the business functions of our department, including the budget, human resource management, information management, purchasing and stores, and quality assurance. Todd serves as the Facilities representative to the Campus Business Officers Group (CBOG) and the Human Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC).
Teresa Blanding, Human Resource Specialist
Teresa serves as a front line point of contact on all HR matters for University Facilities. She provideds HR support and oversight for the organization and ensures compliance with state and federal laws and policies. She also ensures that customer needs of the division are being met.
Kim Bodiford, Fiscal Analyst III>
Kim has worked for Facilities in the Accounts Payable area of Support Services for over 20 years. She's responsible for coordinating general business management for Facilities and insuring compliance with all State and University procurement policies.
Tammi Burdette, Data Coordinator I
Having come on board in April of 2005, Tammi has fit right in as our newest dispatcher. As such, she receives incoming calls and directs them to appropriate parties within Facilities. She also processes work orders,key requests, and helps maintain our maintenance authorization forms.
Bobby Cansler, Supply Specialist III
Bobby began working for Facilities in December of 1996. He is responsible for receiving and inspecting all incoming shipments and tool room operations. His duties include loading and unloading trucks, verifying shipments and communicating with supervisors and project managers to arrange pick up of materials once they have arrived. He is also responsible for issuing, repairing and inspecting tools and equipment stored in the tool room.
Tony Cantrell, Quality Assurance Manager
Tony has been with Facilities since 1974. Beginning in the Maintenance Shop, his previous responsibilities included maintenance in dorms, our water filtration plant,waste treatment plant, and central energy plant. Tony then became a construction inspector for work performed by outside contractors, mainly dealing with painters and carpet installers. When Facilities took possession of Maintenance Stores from the Purchasing Division, Tony was asked to manage the materials and procurement. He is now the Quality Assurance Manager for Facilities and ensures that our customers are satisfied with the quality of work performed and the charges incurred.
Carl Dubose, Supply Specialist III
Carl began working for Facilities in July of 2013. He is responsible for assisting with all in-coming and out-going deliveries, tool room operations and front counter duties. This includes assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks, verifying and inspecting packing slips, assisting with tool room operations and waiting on customers at the store room counter.
Vicki Durham, Supply Specialist III
Vicki began working for Facilities in May of 2007. She is responsible for assisting customers, issuing materials and other customer services. Her duties include verifying stock numbers, quantities, work orders, account numbers and issuing credits for returned material. She also assists with sorting material requests, answering the phone, taking messages and working as a liaison with new vendors and suppliers when they drop by Maintenance Stores.
Patrick Fant, Supply Specialist III
Patrick began working for Facilities in September of 1990. He is responsible for receiving and inspecting in-coming and out-going shipments, restocking the shelves and maintaining a current MSDS catalog. His duties include the loading and loading of materials, verifying shipments, restocking the shelves and assisting customers at the store room counter. He also serves as a representative on the Facilities Safety Action Committee.
Melinda Fischer, Fiscal Analyst I
Melinda has worked for Clemson University since 2007. She joined the Facilities team in February of 2013 as a Fiscal Analyst. Melinda has more than 15 years’ experience working in accounting in both the public and the private sectors. She is responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable for University Facilities.
Scott Gibson, Procurement Specialist I
Scott began working for Facilities in 1981. He is responsible for purchasing non-stock materials for project managers and supervisors. His duties include planning, scheduling, price negotiations and emergency management. He purchases materials for Area Zones and Project managers. He talks with sales representatives daily and acts as the Store Manager when needed.
Cecelia Jackson, Admin. Coordinator II
Cecelia joined Facilities in November 1996. She is the Employee Training and Development Manager for Facilities. Her responsibilities include the oversight of the Facilities safety management and training programs as well as the coordination of employee development training opportunities for Facilities personnel. She also processes departmental travel requests and reimbursements, maintains training records and library, and administers the annual Awards for Excellence program. Cecelia publishes the Facilities Departmental Newsletter as well.
Keith Jones, Info. Res. Consultant I
Keith began at Facilities as a student under Clemson's Co-op program, and after graduating he returned to Support Services as a full-time employee. He is our primary contact for desktop computer support,providing technical assistance to approximately 150 users on a daily basis. If you have a computer related issue that pertains to Facilities, this is your go-to guy.
Brenda Knighton, Admin. Assistant
Brenda contributes to our day-to-day operation by helping manage personnel issues and general Human Resources-related matters specific to University Facilities.
Chris Kohler, Info. Res. Consultant I
Originally responsible for all of Facilities' IT-related issues, Chris now plays a more specific role in the development and administration of our work-order management system known as AiM. Despite this, Chris has been spotted outside of his office from time to time providing assistance to Keith with computer-related issues.
Keith Martin, Supply Manager II
Keith began working with Facilities in 1989. He is responsible for the business functions of Facilities Maintenance Stores. His duties include inventory management, purchasing management, contract administration and procurement liaison. He also is responsible for directing and training all store personnel.
Mitch Merritt, Procurement Specialist I
Mitch began working for Clemson in 1999. He is responsible for ordering all materials stocked in Maintenance Stores. His duties include planning, scheduling, price negotiations, inventory management and quality control. He also talks and meets with sales representatives on a daily basis.
Tim Nix, Instructor/Training Coordinator
Timothy Nix has 6 years of service with Clemson University. He conducts shop safety meetings on a rotational basis covering all OSHA required safety topics. Tim manages the University Facilities training data base through PeopleSoft, ensuring employee education accomplishments are maintained accurately. Tim also maintains University Facilities' chemical inventories by conducting department MSDS audits to ensure documentation is current as required by the EHS Comprehensive Safety Program. Tim also provides new employee orientation, safety training, on the job training as necessary, and implements safety standards and requirements to comply with OSHA and Clemson University's Department of Risk Management as well as EHS.
Ashley Reynolds, Customer Service Representative
Ashley worked at Facilities as a student for a total of 4 years; working 2 summers in the Plumbing Shop & the remaining time in the Vault. She has returned to Facilities as a dispatcher. She receives incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate employees. She also creates work orders and process key requests.
Arpit Singh, Computer Programmer II
Arpit graduated from Clemson in 2010 and joined University Facilities in February 2012. He is responsible for design and development of data systems and applications.
Greg Telley, Procurement Specialist I
Greg began working in Facilities in 2002. He is responsible for purchasing non-stock materials for project managers and supervisors. His duties include planning, scheduling, price negotiations and emergency management. He purchases materials for many areas such as Steam Plant, Waste Treatment Facility, Recycling, Landscape, as well as Project Managers.
Warren Wang, Computer Programmer II
Warren joined University Facilities in February 2013. He is involved in application development and web services.
Scot Wardlaw, IT Manager
Scot Wardlaw joined University Facilities in October 2007, bringing with him over ten years of experience in design and implementation of data systems and associated technical interfaces for a variety of application areas. Scot holds a BS in Computer Science from Clemson University. His duties include coordinating IT activities, developing and maintaining departmental data systems, and providing random tidbits of obscure trivia.
