On the Board - Current Projects

The sustainability projects listed below are in various stages of completion.  After a project is completed, full details will be provided within the LEED Projects section.  If you'd like more information about a specific project, feel free to contact the Office of Planning & Design.

Core Campus Precinct
LEEDS Certification Target: Silver | Estimated Date of Completion: 2013

This is a mixed-use facility that includes a residential component, dining facility, academic space and the student post office. it will condense the existing residence hall project and the dining hall/post office project into a singl state project in order to achieve a much higher level of interconnectedness and synergy between spaces.

Innovation Center (Pendleton)
LEEDS Certification Target: Silver | Estimated Date of Completion: 2010

This project involves the construction of an Innovation Center in the Clemson Research Park. It will be adjacent to the existing Advanced Materials Research Lab. The Innovation Center will be designed to house small. early stage high technology companies, particularly those focusing on photonic materials, nanotechnology and biomaterials.

Restoration Institute (N. Charleston)
LEEDS Certification Target: Silver | Estimated Date of Completion: Summer 2011

This structure is a brick neneer on concrete block structure built in 1964 that was originally built for Marines. The renovation of the Barracks will include improvements to the exterior appearance and to the structure itself for use as office space to house the Restoration Institute staff and Charleston Naval Complex Redevelopment Authority.

Rhodes Hall Annex
LEEDS Certification Target: Silver | Estimated Date of Completion: 2009

The project includes the addition of approximately 28,000 square feet of space to Rhodes Hall. The facility will house complex bioengineering labs support labs, offices and classrooms. Construction activity is said to conclude in the spring of 2009.
