Barbershop Harmony Big Show in tune July 19

The Dixie District Lakeside Harmony Big Show — a popular summer event at Clemson — returns to campus at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 19, in the Brooks Theater.
This show is a highlight of Harmony Weekend, a three-day workshop sponsored by the Dixie District of the Barbershop Harmony Society that focuses on music education, including singing, arranging and performing barbershop harmony.
This year’s award-winning lineup will feature:
- FRED, 1999 International Gold Medal Quartet (pictured on
Web page banner), and - State Line Grocery, 2007 International 4th place quartet.
The program will also include Lunch Break, Counterpoint and Atlanta Vocal Project, the 2007 Barbershop Harmony Society International ninth-place chorus.
Performances by quartets and the chorus from the Harmony Explosion Camp for high school boys will round out the evening’s entertainment.
Admission to this annual sold-out show is $15. All seating is general admission.
