Clemson mourns the death of Professor Mark Winchell

Mark Royden Winchell, 59, professor of English, died Thursday, May 8, at AnMed Health Medical Center.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 11, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Christ the Savior Antiochian Orthodox Church in Anderson. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens in Clemson. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at Clemson United Methodist Church.

Winchell is survived by his wife, Donna Haisty Winchell, also an English professor at Clemson; and two sons, Jonathan Haisty Winchell and Matthew Royden Winchell.
