The Clemson University Flying Club is an official student organization. CUFC was founded by several Clemson students who dreamed of building and flying their own aircraft. After years of innovation and hard work, they succeeded by soaring their aircraft over the skies of the upstate. Their bird now remains proudly in the South Carolina State Museum. The love these students had for flying is carried on by students, alumni, and faculty of the flying club today.

The Clemson University Flying Club is an organization designed to promote the well being of pilots, those with a desire to become pilots, and those with a passion for aviation. The Flying Club owns and operates two capable and proven aircraft. Our Cessna 172 is an excellent 4 seater with modern avionics that will allow a student to train and take a licensed pilot and his passengers to where they want to go. The Cessna 152 is a proven two seat trainer that will provide a pilot economical training or transportation. Both aircraft of the Flying Club receive regular inspections and maintenance. The Flying Club has excellent flight instructors that are willing to help anyone who is interested in learning to fly, in seeking new ratings, or in recurrent training.

You can also help support the CUFC through tax-deductible donations.  If you are interested in making a donation please email flying@clemson.edu, or call one of the officers.
